Privacy policy

We keep this simple: there are no accounts, no ads and no analytics on our sites. This page explains the little data that is processed when you use them.
Who we are
lgteamai (“we”) is an AI research project that builds language models called Nano. This policy covers lgteamai.xyz, bench.lgteamai.xyz and the online demo API at chat-api.lgteamai.xyz (together, “the sites”).

What we process and why
Visiting the sites. Our host, Vercel, processes your IP address, browser details and the pages you request in order to deliver and protect the sites. We do not use analytics or advertising tools.
Language and intro. Your language choice, whether you have seen the intro animation and whether you pressed Like are saved in your own browser (local and session storage). They never leave your device.
Likes. When you press the like button we store:
- a random identifier that we place in a cookie on your device. We keep only a keyed hash of it, so we can allow one like per browser;
- a keyed hash of your IP address with a counter that expires after 7 days, so that one address cannot create many likes. The hash cannot be turned back into your IP address without our secret key;
- the country and city that our host derives from your IP address, plus the time of the like. They appear in the public “Last likes” list with no name, identifier or IP address.
Online demo. The text you type is sent to our server to generate a continuation. It is processed in memory and is not saved to a database or file by us. The server remembers your IP address in memory for about 10 minutes to enforce a request limit. Server and system logs may record your IP address, the time, the requested path and the status for security and troubleshooting, and are removed by log rotation. Please do not enter personal, confidential or sensitive information.
Benchmarks. The bench site loads results from our server. Apart from hosting logs it processes no personal data.
Email. If you write to us we keep the conversation for as long as needed to answer you.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use no advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie is set only when you press Like, and it is needed for the like function, so we do not show a cookie banner.

Who else handles data
- Vercel: hosting, content delivery and the location headers that give us the country and city for the likes list.
- Upstash: the database that stores like data and cached benchmark results.
- Google Fonts: the site font is loaded from Google, so your IP address and browser details are sent to Google when a page opens.
- Our server provider: hosts the online demo.
- Artificial Analysis: we fetch benchmark data from them on our server. No visitor data is sent to them.
Links to Hugging Face, GitHub and other sites lead to services with their own privacy policies. We do not sell personal data.
Legal bases
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, we rely on our legitimate interests (operating and protecting the sites, preventing abuse of the like counter and the demo, showing like totals) and on your action when you choose to like or use the demo.
How long we keep data
- Like identifiers (hashes): as long as the like counter exists.
- Public list of latest likes: the 50 most recent entries.
- IP address counters for likes: 7 days.
- Text you type into the demo: not kept. Request limit memory: about 10 minutes.
- Hosting and server logs: for the period set by the provider and our log rotation.
- Emails: as long as needed to answer you.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. We rely on the safeguards they offer.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or send it to you in a portable form. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Because we store only hashes, we may need the value of your lg_like cookie or your IP address to find your like record. Write to lep4ic@lgteamai.xyz and we will answer within 30 days.
Security
All sites use HTTPS. We store hashes instead of readable identifiers, limit who can access the servers and keep the software updated. No system is completely secure.
Children
The sites are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
